A little house cleaning…

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. School has begun and taken over most of the little time I have, so I apologize about that. We have still been around though, playing humble shows here and there in the North/West Florida area. Some have been very fulfilling, others not so much. All in all we are still moving about, trying to not let anyone forget about us. Soon school will be out and I feel then we will really begin to spread our wings more. I am still on the prowl to find some more steady members, also saving up for some much needed equipment and a van to roam the country in. Slow and steady it seems…

Updated the pages here on the website, added a few new links and such. I believe we will be working on a new website to put up soon, so that should be fun.

I have been writing as well. We have incorporated a few of the new songs in our live show. I also have quite a few melodies in the works that haven’t been shared yet. I am excited for them, I think you all will enjoy them.

That seems to be about it for now. I will try and be better about keeping this updated. Promise

Out and about…

So to begin with I’d like to apologize for such a lack of updates on here. It has been a very busy couple of weeks for me, from the releasing of the EP to the short Florida tour with The Gills I haven’t had much time to manage this here website. So, with that, I’m sorry.

But, the Mouvement EP IS finally out both digitally (on iTunes) and physically (at our shows), and I am so excited for you to have a copy and enjoy it with me. As I’ve said before, this has been a long time coming and so it is such a joy to finally release. So pick it up! Either on iTunes or at one of our concerts.

I have the final masters in my hands ready to be sent out for duplication. Finally! Three new songs from the EP will be posted on the myspace this Saturday, two days away! The actually release date will be posted soon. On the release date there will also be an EP release show, so get ready for that also! I’m so very excited to begin sharing this with you all, it’s been a good while in the process, but it’s finally about there! I pray all is well with you.

Finishing Touches

The EP is done being mixed! It is in the final stages of the mastering process right now, and it is sounding quite good. It’s looking like the actual physical and digital release will be happening in about a month. But, new songs will be posted on myspace etc much sooner than that… Hopefully somewhere within the next week or so. There will be posts everywhere about it so just be on the look out. Thank you!

Up Up Update

So Tuesday we jumped in the studio again to begin tracking vocals. We got about half a song done before we were distracted by Man Man and Cursive coming to town, so we left for the show and it was pretty great. Come Friday though we hope get back in the studio and give it another go. Thank you for your patience everybody, I know that for some of you who have been around since the very birth of this idea have been waiting a very long time for something. I finally feel like it shouldn’t be too long before your patience is rewarded.

The Gills CD Release Show

If you haven’t heard The Gills before I would have to say your missing out, and if you haven’t seen them live then your really not doing well. EP Update

Got back into the studio last Tuesday to finish up all the percussion parts and lay down the organ tracks. Come Monday my friend Nathan will be coming in to record the trumpet parts, then all the instruments will be tracked! You don’t know how exciting it is to be able to say that. I’m still battling this sickness that’s been around since the beginning of March. It has held captive my voice and thus kept me from tracking those final parts. But, soon enough I will be better and we will hopefully get through those quickly. Then to the mixing! At any rate, I hope that all you who are reading this are well.

I’m not sure of what your views on Christ and his Church are, but I feel that regardless something very big happened a long time ago and today is dedicated to the remembrance of that day. Maybe if nothing else we could just take a few minutes, away from those things that distract us, to simply sit in silence and reflect a little bit on those things that mean most to us. For me, it will be Christ.
